The National CV of Britain is a profile of Britain (for fun, illumination and inspiration), which uses a forward-looking history technique, based on the format of a CV (curriculum vitae). It celebrates Britain’s record of pioneering achievements across any number of fields of human endeavour over many centuries and can be accessed at the National CV of Britain Group’s website (http://www.thenationalcv.org.uk/index.html).
Tadley and District History Society’s contribution to the National CV project
The headquarters of the National CV of Britain Group is in Tadley, and Tadley and District History Society (TADS) have been supportive of the project. They helped produce Tadley’s CV, the world’s first ‘local CV’ which is available from the National CV website. TADS and the National CV Group have also produced a longer version of Tadley’s CV – Tadley’s CVpedia.
Chapter heading from the Tadley CVpedia
The National CV of Britain Group are very keen for TADS to promote Tadley in local schools using Tadley’s CV and Tadley’s CVpedia. One way TADS has chosen to do this is by producing an interactive iBook version of Tadley’s CVpedia for iPhones and iPads.
